What's been going on here

Here is a quick update in pictures with what's been going on with us Oldacres! We are all almost over many, many days of sicknesses in this household. Jonathan started us off with the flu, then London and I followed with high fevers and now London is finishing us off (hopefully!) with the swine flu. In God's kindness, Phoebe stayed completely healthy through it all. Before all of that, we had some fun days! See below:

The girls and I went to "Books and Blooms" and the Zoo-mobile was there! London got to pet a rooster, iguana and bunny! Here we are enjoying a picnic in the UT Gardens.

A few days ago we got to spend some extended time with the Mann family (minus our husbands because they were on the CGL Retreat). We had so much fun!

London really enjoys baking with me. Here she is helping me whip up a batch of apple raisen oat muffins.

I asked London to please keep an eye on Phoebe for me while I quickly vacuumed the living room. She ran to get her bible and read Phoebe a few bible stories. I thought this was a very good big sister thing to do!
I like this picture (ignoring the poor quality), because it makes me think of a "best friend" sort of pose that two older girls would do. I am excited for London and Phoebe to get to be best friends!

I had wonderful plans for exciting outdoor fun on London's actual birthday. Unfortunately it poured down raining that day. We got soaked leaving the library and decided to go along with our plans for a picnic.. on our living room floor....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LONDON!!!!

London turns two tomorrow--- oh my!! She seems so very grown up to me already... that is quite enough growing my dear first-born! I wish I had the time to update you all on London's previous year of life and tell you how absolutely loved she is by us... but as always, there is lots to do and the time is limited.
We celebrated London's birthday on Saturday at the park. It was lots of fun and the weather wasn't too hot this year.

Here is our sweet, sweet Phoebe Wren. She started laughing yesterday!
London's pink eye incident started the day of this picture. Thankfully we are all over it now!

Yes, Phoebe is over two months now... late to update again. My poor girls have been sickly the last few weeks.. London with an eye infection and then an ear infection. And now Phoebe with a cold and recently, an eye infection too! So.. all of that has kept me busy (mostly busy trying to keep the girls apart!)

Phoebe-- one month

Phoebe is already 1 1/2 months so these Phoebe stats are old news. (I am very behind on updating, and this will be a brief post, as blogging is not a high priority these days!) I wish I had the time to tell you all about Phoebe. She is an incredible baby! We love her very much...

Weight: 10 lbs. 15 oz. (95th percentile)!!
Height: not remembering right now, but I know she's in the 75th percentile.
My very talented (and generous) friend Lillian took some pictures of Phoebe at one month old and I can't wait to see them! She did send me a few "sneak peekers". Here is one:

Life with Phoebe

There are oh so many pictures to post, but this will have to be a brief one! The girls are sleeping and I have much to accomplish in this stretch of time! Phoebe Wren is wonderful! We love her so much and I'm enjoying every day as I get to watch her grow. May I take this opportunity to thank my husband for working so hard so I can stay at home and care for our children! I wouldn't miss this time with them for anything.

Playtime continued: not sure this was much fun for Phoebe, but London sure enjoyed it. Hey, at least she's sharing.... :)
