Phoebe Photos!

Happy Birthday Phoebe!

Reporting live from St. Mary's, Jonathan Oldacre here. We can't believe how everything happened so quickly this time around! Melanie and Phoebe are doing great, and we really couldn't have asked for a better labor and delivery. The Lord has been so kind and good to us. Enjoy the photos!
8 pounds, we weren't expecting that!

Happy Birthday Phoebe!

She's here! Please join us in welcoming to the world:

Phoebe Wren Oldacre

8 lbs., 3 oz.
20.25 inches long
Born at 11:18 am

Baby Phoebe made her debut this morning, Saturday, June 20th, after what appears to be a very quick delivery. In fact, when Melanie called to tell me the news, I expected to hear that she was just beginning labor. Melanie sounded wonderful on the phone and seems to be recovering well. She said that Phoebe has a good bit of dark hair and is doing great! Isn't she a cutie?

Jonathan and Melanie are at St. Mary's and said they would love to welcome visitors, but ask if you would call first. What a blessing this little baby girl will be to her parents, and what a wonderful Father's Day gift for Jonathan!

We are Ready and Waiting Little Baby

For those of you wondering.... yes, yesterday was my due date and no, she's not here yet!

London and I have been keeping busy during the day not knowing which day will be our last before we are in the world of newborn craziness! here is a little of what we've been doing:

Making "P" favors for those who visit us in the hospital.

London had "L" cookies on her birth day. She received one token one during our cookie creating session.
Many fun days at the pool with friends!
London with Hunter here:

Lounging on the hammock in our shade-less backyard!
Or as London says, "Ah relaxing."
London had a bad fall off the front step of a friend's house onto the concrete on Saturday. It has already healed so nicely and I don't anticipate there being much of a trace left for her big sister pictures with Little Baby.

That's all for now. My friend Casey will update the blog when baby comes. Please pray for us- for a healthy and safe delivery.

Going to have a baby soon....

In the last few days it has occurred to me that I am going to have a baby soon!!!! I can't believe how time flies when you're pregnant with your second. I am very excited for her to be here, but also aware of how much more I'd like to get done before she comes! Here's a little of what we've been doing in the month of May:

Eadie Cate, London and Ana

Some of our care group on our camping tripJonathan got me a new hammock for Mother's Day!
Jonathan took London to a fun toy store and she had a blast (mostly with the babies)
Lately London has been requesting to try on funny things. Here is one example: swim goggles and a bib.
Jonathan and I have been married for FIVE years! We celebrated by taking a two night trip to Asheville, NC and stayed in our favorite B&B. It was very special and Jonathan did a wonderful job of planning the trip.

On the lawn of our B&B
Jonathan even took me to our proposal site at the Grove Park Inn and completely surprised me with a sort of "repeat proposal" giving me a beautiful ring with my birth stone in it.
Here we are post surprise gift. Thanks Jonny! I love you!
Jonathan in our b&b.
London enjoying one of her many smoothies this summer.

One of her favorite things to do: look through our photo albums.
Trying on Mommy's flip flops.
We painted our living room a much lighter shade--- almost white! A huge change for the Oldacres! Here is London beneath a love seat that was perched precariously on it's side during the painting!
Trying on Daddy's shirt (note finished walls in the background).
I like this picture.
London experienced the "Splash Pad" for the first time today. She was a little timid... we shall try again...
Then she came home and had her first popsicle! Fun days with my girl before we are accompanied by another!!!
