First Babysitter

On Monday night, Becca came to our house to be with London for an hour and a half. We intended on leaving her with a sleeping baby, but London had a hard time falling asleep. So what was supposed to be an "easy" babysitting job actually turned into an hour of comforting a crying baby.
Becca, we can't thank you enough! Monday night was the first time Jonathan and I got to be together alone since London's birth and it was a special time. We look forward to many more date nights in the future and we feel so blessed to have such a wonderful girl to leave London with. We have complete confidence in Becca's baby-watching ability and, more than that, we believe that Becca's godly character will be a wonderful example for our growing girl.

Here is a picture of London's very first babysitter (seated between two other girls, Melanie & Brooke, who we would also consider worthy of being with London. Hmm...?) (Also, if you happen to see the girl on the right today... wish her happy birthday- today's her birthday!)
*no, they don't usually sport crazy-Christmas sweaters. They were being good participants in a Christmas party we had at care group.

Wedding Pictures

Todd and Anna's wedding was great and we are so happy for them to be married! Jonathan was such a handsome groomsman and London looked adorable in her blue dress (hand-me-down from Pearl) and cute sweater and matching hat (courtesy of Grammy). Of course we didn't take near as many pictures as I would have liked. So I've posted all we have. Enjoy!

London's first party

I'm beginning to realize that we have a chubby baby on our hands... and I love it! She looked especially plump the other day as she dressed for a cloth diaper party at her friend Pearl's house. She did very well and we had such a good time. Tonight London will attend her first wedding! We'll try to take lots of pictures. Oh, and we're using our old camera now, so picture quality may not be so great for a bit.
Here is one of my new favorite pictures of our little Fiore...
That picture is followed by a picture of me with the person I love most in the whole world! It was taken one day before London joined our family (on this side of the womb that is). We were at the park in Maryville, trying to walk that baby out of me!

Saw the Doc today

Last Friday morning I learned that London enjoys doing laundry with me! It is neat getting to know her a little better every day. She definitely has her preferences!
Read below for the doctor report.

London went to the pediatrician today for her one month appointment (even though she is actually 5 weeks, one day today). Everything is still great!
WEIGHT: 9 lbs. 14 oz. (75th percentile!)
HEIGHT: 21 1/4 " (50th percentile)

We don't have many pictures to post these days because the battery in our camera is dying and we can't seem to find our charger anywhere! I had to use the last bit of juice on some of her smiles last night. She was having a grand old time chatting it up with her daddy! These two pictures really don't do her smile justice. It is just amazing!

Here London did a little cheer when Daddy was explaining to her how Jesus Christ died on the cross for her sins. She was very excited at the good news!

London turned one month old on Tuesday... She is still changing everyday! I told her that once she was one month old she could go downtown to visit Daddy on a lunch break. So today was the big day! She has really been looking forward to it (Well maybe Mommy was really looking forward to it!!) London insisted on staying awake the whole time we were with Daddy and then fell asleep for a little bit as soon as we said goodbye. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of our time downtown. We plan on going back on a sunnier day when London is a little older and we'll be sure to do a photo shoot then.
Yesterday, London's photographer, Lillian, took some one month pictures of her. I can't wait to see how they turned out. Lillian is very gifted with the camera!
While we're waiting on Lil's photos, here are some from the amateur (Mel)...
Below are pictures of some hang-time with Daddy, even a nap-time! Also, a few of London's idea of tummy-time and a couple more sleeping photos.

Four years ago today...

Four years ago today, overlooking the mountains of Asheville, NC Jonathan asked me to be his wife. I thank God often for the amazing gift that Jonathan is to me. How kind of the Father to give me a God-fearing, Gospel-loving, holiness-pursuing husband!! "To what do I even deserve?!!"

We don't have any pictures from our engagement day on the computer, but I'll post some older pictures of us just to depict the many special memories we have together.
Jonathan, I love you so very much!!!!!!

And the memories of our times together goes on and on.... times of fellowship, conflicts and challenges, times of growth, fun memories and funny stories... There is no one I would rather spend my time with than my husband Jonathan.

London meets Knox!

London finally got to meet the boy whom she would kick from inside the womb while Mommy held him. Knox came to play today!
The Plewniaks brought us a scrumptious meal for dinner tonight and Elizabeth imparted much motherly wisdom to Melanie during their playtime. We are so grateful for the Plewniaks. Knox is three months older than London and we trust that they'll be best buddies in no time!

Any surprise this baby loves the water?

A "water baby" from the womb, London's love for the water comes as no surprise. She loves to have her hair washed! Here are a few pictures after a bath from her first week of life. Stay tuned for more recent pics. *also, see corrected "Friends" post below.
